Job Summary
The Senior Well Engineer / Drilling Superintendent will oversee and support the execution of drilling and well operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of well programs. The role involves supervising field operations, optimizing drilling performance, and ensuring compliance with technical, safety, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise drilling and completion operations onshore and offshore
Ensure execution of well programs in line with engineering designs and best practices
Monitor drilling performance and reduce Non-Productive Time (NPT)
Review and validate well engineering plans, casing, and cementing programs
Ensure well integrity throughout drilling and completion phases
Coordinate with rig teams, contractors, and service providers
Enforce strict compliance with HSE standards and operational procedures
Provide technical guidance and on-site decision support during operations
Evaluate operational performance and recommend improvements
Requirements
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in drilling and well engineering operations
Strong background in well delivery, drilling supervision, or completions
IWCF Level 4 (Well Control Supervisor) certification
BOSIET / HUET and H2S certifications
Strong leadership, technical, and decision-making skills
Experience working in onshore or swamp drilling environments
Ability to manage multi-disciplinary oilfield teams
