About the Role micro1 is seeking native English speakers from Ireland, Australia, and the United Kingdom to support a high-priority AI training project. As an English Voice Coach, you will leverage your expertise in natural speech, regional accents, and pronunciation to evaluate English audio recordings, ensuring high-quality, authentic dataset development for AI models.
Key Responsibilities
Audio Evaluation: Listen to and analyze short English audio recordings for clarity, tone, and fluency.
Accent & Naturalness Verification: Assess whether speech sounds authentic to the target regional accent (Ireland, UK, Australia).
Pattern & Flaw Identification: Spot inconsistencies, unnatural cadences, or synthetic artifacts in spoken English.
Structured Reporting: Deliver precise, actionable written feedback according to project specifications and guidelines.
Quality Assurance: Maintain consistent evaluation accuracy across large audio datasets.
Qualifications & Requirements
Native English Proficiency: Deep familiarity with native regional speech patterns, local idioms, and authentic accent structures.
Analytical Listening: Exceptional auditory attention to detail, capable of identifying subtle nuances in tone and pronunciation.
Remote Independence: Proven ability to manage deliverables autonomously in a work-from-home setup.
Clear Communication: Strong written English skills for providing detailed annotation notes.
Preferred Backgrounds
Prior experience in voice coaching, voice-over work, or speech analysis.
Technical or creative background in audio engineering, sound design, or music production.
Academic or practical experience in linguistics, phonetics, language instruction, or media production.
