Overview
Dangote Fertiliser Limited is inviting applications from ambitious, high-performing engineering and science graduates for its Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) Program. This structured, intensive training program is designed to develop young technical talent through practical, hands-on experience, mentorship, and operational exposure in one of the world's largest single-train urea fertilizer complexes.
Core Responsibilities
Selected trainees will undergo technical, operational, and leadership development across key plant functions:
- Gain hands-on exposure to plant and production operations, equipment, and machinery.
- Support process engineering, chemical synthesis, and petrochemical operations.
- Assist in mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation maintenance activities.
- Participate in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols and quality control laboratory operations.
- Support supply chain, logistics, and technical documentation processes.
- Collaborate with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams to solve real-world industrial problems.
Eligible Academic Disciplines
Applicants must hold a degree in any of the following or related fields:
- Engineering: Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Power Engineering, Production Engineering, Mining Engineering.
- Sciences: Geological Sciences, Laboratory Sciences, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or Industrial Chemistry.
Key Requirements & Eligibility Criteria
- Academic Qualification: First Degree (B.Sc. / B.Eng. / B.Tech) from an accredited university.
- Class of Degree: Minimum of Second Class Upper Division (2:1) or equivalent.
- NYSC: Must have completed the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme or possess a valid Exemption Certificate.
- Age Limit: Generally 28 years or younger.
- Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, numerical, and communication skills.
- Mindset: Eagerness to learn, adapt, and work in a fast-paced, high-performance industrial environment.
